The Gardens of Heartland Reception Hall is a an Alcohol-Free hall which enjoys a country setting away from city lights, traffic and noise. The hall serves our area as a serene location for meetings, receptions of all types, workshops and weddings. We work with the rentor in locating caterers they may contract for luncheons and dinners.
Heartland Greenhouses, established in 1990, is a seasonal, retail-only operation. We supply annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, tropicals, roses, grasses and succulents to a wide area of south-central Illinois. Some of our most popular offerings include our line of colorful hanging baskets, huge geraniums, full-bodied ferns, one-of-a-kind, pre-planted pots, and large, healthy vegetable plants bred for maximum performance in our area. Still featuring the very popular and vigorous Sumo petunias. New cultivars are added yearly.
Our knowledgeable staff can help you plan your flower and vegetable gardens and supply you with the information you need to succeed. All plant products are grown here in our 30,000 square foot facility. Our growing season begins with perennial and tropical propagation in July, extends through the fall and winter with annual propagation, and culminates with spring sales from the second weekend in April to May or June. We retail the same potting soil and fertilizer we use to produce quality plants that are second to none. Gift Cards are available in the store.
